Creative set design and props are extremely powerful tools for storytelling. I have been fortunate to produce, direct, edit and set design. I attended Berkeley Digital Film Institute (BDFI) where I achieved a certificate in producing and directing motion pictures. With this education, along with my skills in fine art, graphics, and interior design I work with small productions to bring entire sets to life. 

My strengths and skills are in production design and art direction for movies. When reading a script I look between the lines to dig deep into the characters and story. My unique eye can see where the script leaves room for me to deepen the connection through the use of art and design. My role is to connect the audience using the environment. I begin with an overall design, focusing on the color palette and textures, which create the emotions and style of the film. Building the background environment then supports the character development and story arc in a subtle, yet crucial way. Then the addition of set pieces and props drive the actions of the story -line. I paint the story by adding these layers.

When I join a team, I am a part of the film from the beginning, from the pre-production stage through to the end of the production. I work closely with directors to develop the visual style and build upon their characters. I spend time researching, designing, and sourcing all of the props and set pieces. On set, my skills in organization, creative problem solving, and my love for teamwork help us create scene by scene.

I have worked on various sets including: music videos, commercials, industrials, short films and feature films. Notable clients include: NASA, Adobe and Kaiser.
